Nautical Table-setting and Teaware Display

Hello, Cairn Cottage friends!!

Has it really been 2 months since I posted last? Where does the time go?
I wanted to share my latest table-setting, which I put together as a spring display. I probably will be changing it out soon for a summer setting, though. I do love anything nautical and have had most of these items for a number of years. I put them together for a different look than any of my past table settings, though.

My sailboat teapot is the centerpiece, surrounded by grapevine and silk daisies, and displayed on my glass cake plate.

To match the yellow in the flowers, I started with a basic yellow tablecloth.

Each place-setting has a blue place mat, red dinner plate, and colorful sailboat salad plate.

I really love these beautiful sailboat images on the plates. Here is a close-up.

The mugs are also a favorite, with seagulls and more water views!

The two new items here are my colorful napkins and DIY napkin rings...don't tell, but they are really door knobs that I got on sale for half price at Hobby Lobby...I just attached them to metal rings, which hold the napkins.

New Curio Cabinet Display
I recently also made some changes to my curio cabinet. For many years I had a large collection of angels...I love angels, but have not been collecting them since my love for teapots/cups began. So, I decided that it was time to get rid of many of my angels in a garage sale (all except the ones that were gifts.) and keep them in another glass cabinet in a different room.
Thanks to a blog post posted by teapot collector, Fabby, over at Fabby's Living (March 20th post), I now have some of my favorite teapots/teacups in my curio.(Though, there isn't room for ALL of them that I own.)

Here are a few close-ups of each shelf...
Blue and white: I have a few blue and white teapots. In the background are some family heirloom plates.
Rose Chintz: I love rose chintz teaware! These are my favorites!

Majolica, Canadian, and Nautical: This display has a variety of some of colorful teaware!

Whimsical and Unique: Another shelf holds a nice variety of modern tea and serving items.

More Variety: My last shelf holds more antiques, some Asian teaware, and a few white teapots.

I love my new display!! Don't you? (I have several other teapots, but keep them in a different cabinet. I will switch them out every now and again for a little variety in my display.)

View out of my dining room window and my favorite window sign...

 Have a great week!!

    1. Thanks, Joan! I really love how the display turned out, too! (And yeah, the curio has a mirror on the back of the inside! It seemed like anywhere I stood I would get a least part of me reflected....haha.)

Now for your teapot collection... girl friend, they are fabulous, each one! I had so much fun looking at each in your great curio cabinet. Wish we were visiting and talking about our teapots, at least we do it thru our posts.
Thank you so much for visiting me and inviting me to your home, dear friend. I enjoyed both.
    Have a great weekend.
