My Sunny Summer Styles

It's been awhile since I've posted some of my outfits here on my blog. Actually, this is my first ensemble post on this particular blog. I have posted some on my other blog. If you would like to see those you can go HERE. Summer is my favorite time of year to shop and put together outfits to wear. Not sure why. Maybe it's just that I have a little more freedom to be creative. Maybe it's just because I like to go out when it's sunny and nice out and wear what I've created. Anyways, I took some pictures awhile back, so I have quite a few to show you. I am definitely a "dress-wearing" person  this time of year!
Purple is one of my favorite colors. I got this long, flow-y skirt at Goodwill for $5.00.
I also love scarves. This purple and blue scarf was on sale at Charlotte Russe for $5.00.
It came out a little blurry, but my scarf has metal bangles around the edges. I also wore my metal chain belt, that matches the scarf decor.
I've had these purple 'zipper' slip-on shoes for several years. I did pay a little more for them just because at the time, there weren't any other purple dress shoes that I liked in any other stores.(I can't remember what store in our local mall that I got them, as I've had them for several years.)
Believe it or not, I often find some cute outfits at WalMart. This light blue and navy combo was a mere $20. I love broomstick skirts! Getting them to look the same after washing them is tricky, though!
The scarf I got at Kohls a few years ago, on sale, of course!
I got these Roman sandals at Target several years ago.
On this sunny, summer day, I wore a new outfit, also from WalMart.
I love my new straw tote bag, where my sweet Chihuahua, Sophie can be carried around in comfort!
I'm usually a little uncomfortable wearing shorts that are higher than just above the knee, but these were so cute and comfortable, I decided to buy them. (Also from WalMart)
These cute slip-on sandals still had the original price tag of $45on them (EastlandShoe.com). I paid $4 for them at Goodwill.
My sweet Sophie, taking it easy.
In June, my hubby and I took a day and went shopping in St. Joseph, MI., a small tourist town with lots of small shops. All over the town were patriotic statues. It was a very hot day, so I wore a seer-sucker purple skirt/dress  and strappy top, with a black belt.
My white straww floppy hat and black macrame' purse completed my sunny day ensemble. ("North Pier Lights" Lighthouse in the background.)
Looking out on Lake Michigan.....a relaxing day at the beach!

Thanks for letting me share some of my "sunny summer outfits."

  2. Thanks, Notchka! I where that outfit a lot. And my sweet doggie was so patient to sit in the basket and let me take these shots! :)
